Robert Macaruso, Interior Design Director and Associate with ZDS inc., is an accomplished Interior Designer with a global perspective and extensive experience in the luxury hospitality market, leading design teams and collaborating with owners and operators.
Bob has delivered a wide portfolio of projects throughout the Middle East and Asia, as well as North America and the Caribbean. He is experienced working with major luxury hotel operators leading the design teams and managing stakeholder’s expectations. With over 35 years specializing in the hospitality design industry, he has been mentor to many designers and fosters a collaborative approach in the studio. He has mastered a strong acumen for the design process and has a keen awareness of the business of design. Bob has traveled extensively, and is fascinated with culture and context-all allowing him to narrate a unique design story meant to enrich the guest experience.
From concept through to completion, he applies his creativity with a strong understanding of construction and technical insight.
