PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Four or five restaurants, 129 microloft-style hotel rooms and rooftop venues. These are all part of the vision for the Hotel Hive planned for downtown Providence, in two historical buildings on Westminster Street.
But the developers first need to go through a complex approvals process, and the “critical mapping” of that process is just getting under way, according to Providence architect Eric Zuena, of ZDS Inc., who is working with developer Jim Abdo on the hotel plan.
