Julie is a Project Manager and Associate with ZDS Inc. She brings with her close to ten years of experience working on a variety of projects in Greater New England. At the start of her professional career, she worked in the Boston area focusing on large-scale international hospitality / master planning projects. She began working in Rhode Island shortly thereafter to focus more on local, New England architecture. With a passion and interest in historic structures and adaptive reuse, Julie has led multiple renovation and rehabilitation projects through successful design and construction efforts, developing strong relationships and producing high quality projects.
She brings with her a background of high-profile Higher Education projects as well as experience working on challenging publicly-funded projects that required care and expertise in effectively producing an economical, timeless, and beautiful buildings. Julie assists in leading the firms commercial/mixed-use, multi-unit residential and hospitality architectural projects. She is an advocate for thoughtful design and practical execution, coupled with a holistic design approach that begins every project with collaboration from the entire design team. Successful design depends on strong, fluid relationships between client, architect and consultants.
Julie graduated from Northeastern University with both her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Architecture Degrees. She is a registered Architect and a LEED accredited professional. In 2017 she began serving on the AIA Board of Directors in Rhode Island. She and her husband, Matt, live in Northeastern Connecticut. A lover of the outdoors, she enjoys traveling, hiking and boating.
