PROVIDENCE – First Bristol Corp. of Fall River has received final approval for construction of an eight-story, all-suites hotel on the triangular lot in the Capital Center District.
The property, known as “Parcel 12,” is owned by the city of Providence and will be acquired by the development company as part of its $20 million project.
The hotel, to be operated as a Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel, will include 120 guest suites, according to James J. Karam, First Bristol president.
The property is bounded by Memorial Boulevard, Exchange Street and Exchange Terrace. It includes views of the Citizens Bank building, the “Superman” building and other downtown vistas.
